1. Remove the bandage in 2 hours.

2. Wash tattoo in cold water with mild soap gently with your hands; (only once after removing the bandage).

3. Blot dry with paper towel.

4. Air dry for 15 minutes.

5. Apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment (Polysporin), wait for 15 minutes and blot dry with paper towel.

6. Apply antibiotic ointment for 2 days, 3-4 times a day (4 times if your tattoo gets too dry between applications).

7. On the 3rd day you must switch to vitamin E&A cream (St.Ives, Lubriderm) and apply this product 4-5 times a day until tattoo heals, then apply vitamin E&A cream at least once a day for 30 days. ( while tattoo is healing you must keep it moisturized) - do not let it dry!

8. Before going in the shower, apply a thick layer of antibiotic ointment, to protect the tattoo from letting water in, wash around the area.

9. After the shower, blot dry with paper towel and do not reapply - it is there. Do it till tattoo heals.

10. No chlorinated water, swimming pools and saunas; take it easy working out, give your body a break till the tattoo heals.

11. No direct exposure to the sun or tanning beds for black and grey tattoos for 30 days, colour tattoos for 60 days.

12. If your tattoo gets itchy (and it will) don't scratch directly; scratch around gently or slap it - it helps.

13. Don't pick off scabs, let them fall of naturally.

14. Do not sleep on the tattoo side while it is healing.

15. Wear loose, clean clothing.
